Participants will start at Oshawa City Hall, where there will be a culture counts member or volunteer who will explain the scavenger hunt and give them a map. From there the participants whether in a team with friends or their family will head back to their vehicle and begin the hunt.  Moving across Oshawa the participants will go to each location where they will have to look for a small sign. The sign will be no bigger than a smoking sign. On the sign, there will be a QR code that will bring the participants to the website and a section where it will explain the significance of the band or figure that is being represented by the building they are at.

From there the participants must take pictures of themselves at each location for proof and if they post it on Instagram with the hashtag #OshawaMusic2021 #SummerOfMusic20201 they will also be entered to win an assortment of prizes which include a $100 gift card to Tim Hortons.

The participants will continue to do this until they have pictures from all 9 locations, then they will head back to the City Hall where they will meet the culture counts member or volunteer. They will proceed to show them their pictures and then receive a swag bag with Summer of Music stuff and a USB that has the map, music and other cool facts about everywhere they had been throughout the scavenger hunt.
